Creativity has always been a part of who I am.  With a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education, I spent 10 years in the United States teaching young children how to use their creativity.  Once back in wonderful Canada, I used my creativity to manage a small business in the health industry.  I have always loved decorating because of the endless creative options and now, my life-long passion for creating pieces out of discarded and "useless" items has turned into a wonderfully creative blog and business that I can call my own.  

Upcycling has become a staple of what I do.  Since we live in a day and age when more and more perfectly useful items are ending up in a landfill,  reclaiming, recreating and reusing them is a perfect solution. At Recreated Designs, it is my desire to save these items and recreate them into functional pieces that bring beauty to any space.  Decorating does not have to be expensive and now, more than any other time, even the person on the most modest budget can use wonderful “used” pieces and transform them!
