Last Tuesday, during my Facebook LIVE broadcast for Hometalk, I was wearing an apron with my logo on it. I have gotten a lot of requests/comments asking where I got it so today I thought I would share the details with you. 
For my apron, I purchased an already made one at Michael’s. [easyazon_link identifier=”B01F511W1E” locale=”US” tag=”recredesig20-20″]Here is a similar one[/easyazon_link]. It is just a plain, cotton apron with pockets. 
Before painting the logo onto the apron (or other fabric), you will need to print off a copy of the design.
I used a full page copy of the Recreated Designs logo. 
Lay the sheet of paper over a piece of carbon paper and secure it with some tape in the corners.
Once you have the logo where you would like it, trace over all parts with a pencil. 
When you are done, you will have a faint outline of the image on the apron. 
You can now use the outline as a guide to paint your logo.
For my logo, I used Country Chic Paint in Chocolate Tart and Fusion Mineral Paint in Midnight Blue. 
Once the paint is dry on the apron, you are ready to go. That’s it! Really. In totally it took about 20 minutes to print, transfer and paint the logo and the only cost was the cost of the apron.
Tip: I would not recommend washing painted fabric right away. Paint usually takes about 3 weeks to fully cure (on any project) so the longer you can wait to wash your apron, the better.
Painting a logo this way would work well for any image that you want to paint on fabric. It is a great way to create a guide so that you don’t have to worry about messing it up when you are painting 😉
