I have been on a bit of a hiatus the past couple of months.
Despite the hiatus though, I have still had some speaking engagements (and have another one next week), on top of a couple of events, on top of “life”.
Sometimes (and this was one of those times), despite the busyness, you just need to take a step back.
Sometimes we need to reevaluate the path we are on.
Sometimes it is good for all of us to have a bit of a mental break from whatever consumes us everyday.
I needed one of those breaks to refocus, realign and regroup.
My little hiatus has refreshed and re-energized me and I am eager to dig in to all of my projects that have been patiently waiting on the sidelines.
Here is a quick preview of some of things I am hoping to get done this summer.
The summer is a great time to create (and recreate!) and remember why I love doing what I do!
An antique door that is going to be stripped, refinished and become the headboard for my bed.
A wall in my living room that is going to be decorated with a frame collection.
An old IKEA table and chairs that is going to be painted and sold.
Some custom work for a client.
About a trillion yards of muslin that is going to become drape liners, a new shower curtain and a few other things. (I am going to die the fabric with Chalk Paint for at least one of the projects! – can’t wait to see how that turns out!!)
An antique chair that I am going to paint; fabric and all! (for a client)
