Happy belated Thanksgiving! I hope that you all had a lovely, long weekend!
For part of my long weekend I had the privilege of joining some of the amazing painters I have featured in this series at an event in Ottawa. Despite the crazy weather (from warm and rainy to sunny and cold) we had a blast. It is always a balm to the soul to spend a little time with like-minded people who have a passion for the same type of creativity as you do.
I also had the lovely opportunity to run down to our family cottage today for the last time this season. It is always sad at this time of year to think that we have to wait 6 more months to return. The drive there and back was well worth it though because the leaves were spectacular. I am so thankful that I live in the part of the world were I get to experience the beauty of Fall every year!
I admit that I do not have much orange in my home, but it always makes me smile when I see a piece painted in orange. As we head toward Halloween and a time when pumpkins abound… be inspired by orange.

If you missed any of our previous weeks, be sure to be inspired by the Fallish beauty of red, yellow and brown.
I would love to see what you have painted in orange! Drop by the Recreated Designs Facebook page and post a picture of your pieces.
Next week we’ll be inspired by black!

Great series–love those square pumpkins! Thanks for sharing @Vintage Charm!
Aren’t they super talented painters? This series was such fun!
Looks great, Lisa. All the lovely colours should inspire someone to paint with orange. Thanks for the feature.
Thanks so much for contributing Cathy! Your work is always so beautiful <3
