As lockdown is fully underway in Ontario again I am so excited that I decided last year to participate in the $100 Room Makeover challenge! This challenge is about everything I love… home decor on a very strict budget and reusing/painting what you have.
You can find more information about the challenge here…
The Master Bedroom
When I joined the challenge, right away I thought of my master bathroom. I redid the room itself last Spring (you can see the makeover here…) but I have yet to do anything with the bathroom.
The master bathroom is visible from all angles of the bedroom and therefore really needs to feel like an extension of the larger room.
The Master Bathroom
The bathroom is quite small and has no windows but there is still a lot that can be done to make the space lighter and bigger.
Even though my house is only 11 years old, the cabinets feel dark and dated in the small room.
Even the counter is ready to be replaced as it gets easily marked and stained.
Inspiration
With the gorgeous new wallpaper in the bedroom, it is easy to see where the inspiration for the bathroom pallet came from. Bringing these beautiful colours into the bathroom will make it transition seamlessly from the larger room and will make the entire space feel more cohesive.
I can’t wait to get started on this bathroom refresh and recreate this space into one that feels warm and welcoming. Be sure to stop back the next two Wednesdays to see progress updates and then in 3 weeks for the room reveal!
