Who doesn’t need a good serving tray? They come in handy not only for company but for those of us who don’t have coffee tables.
Underneath all of it’s flaws it was a pretty shape though and the wood was in great condition. It needed some serious cleaning, gluing and sanding but once all of those little jobs were done it was time to crack out the paint!
(you’ll see in the pictures how lovely this paint is in different lights… it really has a chameleon-like quality to it)

Using Belt Buckle Metallic Cream and this [easyazon_link identifier=”B017IZ3CGS” locale=”US” tag=”recredesig20-20″]beautiful stencil from Deco Art[/easyazon_link], I was able to add this pretty graphic to the centre of the tray.
The Metallic cream made the graphic pop and the luxurious golden colour is so pretty with the brown. I also added it around the edge to help highlight the shape.

Now that the tray has been glammed up, it is ready to go for my next gathering… or dinner in the Living Room 😉
