Happy New Year!
I took a few weeks off from writing to get ready for the Ottawa Home and Remodelling Show and I am so happy to be back with you now that it is over.
To get back into the swing of things, I thought I’d share with you a sweet little vintage table that I finished a couple of weeks ago .I found the little table almost a year ago when a thrift store near me was going out of business. That day was one of the best “picking” days I have ever had!
The table top was badly beaten up but I couldn’t resist snatching it up because of its unusual shape. Before Christmas I received the new Fusion Mineral Paint in English Rose this was the perfect piece to use it on.
English Rose is the perfect pale pink paint. So dainty and petally soft.
The table got two coats of the English Rose and for a pale pink paint, the coverage was wonderful. It completely covered up all of the damage.
To highlight the great shape of the table once it was painted pink, I mixed Fusion Mineral Paint in Fort York Red with the English Rose to make a lovely deep pink.
The deeper pink was perfect for the edges, polka dots and flowers.
The table was finished with some beautiful (and I mean beau-ti-ful!!! – the pictures don’t do it justice!) Fusion Mineral Paint Liming and Rose Gold wax.
The waxes softened up the table even more and added the prettiest sheen.
This vintage piece was in such bad shape when I picked it up but this pale pink paint completely transformed it into the perfect child’s table.
A huge thanks to Fusion Mineral Paint for supplying the paint and wax for this project.
Pin for later…

Beautiful! Where do you get the “Fusion Mineral Paint” in Ottawa? And how does it compare to Chalk Paint and Milk Paint? Thank you very much. I’ll see you soon for another class. Have a great day.
Thanks Sergine! You can get Fusion at Blue Bird Upcycled Style in Ottawa. It is a latex paint unlike Annie Sloan and Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint which are not. It is nice an smooth but has a very different look to it than both of the others. Can’t wait to see you soon 😉
