I love teaching, I always have. I went to school to become a teacher and taught for 10 years.
Despite being Canadian, I did my degrees in the United States and then stayed to teach for 10 years after.
Unfortunately, my VISAs to be in the Unites States expired at the 10 year mark and I had to come back to Canada. I was out of options to stay.
Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing at all wrong with Canada. In fact, I absolutely love it. It’s my home.
But… I had a job I loved, a community I cherished and a life I had built-in the US. To stay was not a legal option though so I packed up my life and headed back to Canada.
Meanwhile in Canada…
Since moving back, I have missed teaching immensely. I have longed to teach again, in some capacity or another.
It has been a dream of mine to combine my love of blogging and painting with teaching.
To start, I will be teaching a Milk Paint 101 class. This class will be taught at Malenka Originals right here in Ottawa. I am doing the first one tonight for her staff and we will announce dates for everyone else shortly. I can barely wait!

As I have moved to another country about 6 months ago, I can imagine how difficult the move back must have been. I’m excited for you that you can teach again!
Thanks so much Goedele! A move it always hard… but can be so exciting at the same time 😉
This is going to be such an exciting adventure! I can’t wait to support you as you reveal your plans. Sending you hugs, CoCo
