Do you love Christmas as much as I do? It may not feel anything like Christmas outside and it may still be over 2 months away, but I am already getting ready.
This week I have been getting ready for Christmas classes and sales. I made a few of these Christmas pillows using this technique and am completely in love with how they turned out. The milk paint colours are just so perfect. They remind me of Christmas in a cabin surrounded by beautiful snow and a crackling fire burning to keep you warm.
{Pillows}
These pillows are going to be available at my holidays sales and you can also make your own during some holiday classes.I really can’t wait to make a few more so that they can sit on my couch 😉
{Signs}
When I had my milk paints out, I also worked on some new signs. I really enjoy signs that are hand painted. I have nothing against print and cut machines, but I find the signs made from those lack an authentic, old look. Speaking of rustic and authentic, I found these gorgeous, old fold-up chairs a couple of weeks ago. Guess where?? Yep… the dump!
{Vintage Chairs}
I was absolutely giddy when I saw them stacked there! Luckily I had just enough room in the car to load the best 6.
The wood has a gorgeous patina on it and they are in great shape. I can just imagine them being used for meetings in a church or school back in the 1950’s.
They are just soo cool! If only they could tell the stories of where they have been not to mention what they have seen and heard. Have you found anything cool lately that just made you giddy with excitement? Those are the pieces worth cherishing for life! I hope that you are enjoying your Fall and even though I was working on Christmas stuff this week, I am not ready for winter at all…
An understated, handcrafted look – very nice.
Thanks so much Ruth!
