I picked up this vintage dresser in January and thought it was a perfect candidate to try some [easyazon_link identifier=”B01LZ926EK” locale=”US” tag=”recredesig20-20″]IOD decor stamps[/easyazon_link] I received on. The stamps I received were of grain sack stripes and when I saw this dresser thought it had the perfect lines to complement the stripes.
I loove grain sack stripes. There is something so simple and pretty about them. They always seem so cheery and just make me smile. I even painted them on this chair…

I have tried IOD decor transfers before (see one project here) and really loved how they turned out but had not had a chance to try the stamps until this project.

I found that the ink was quite slippy so the stamp worked better when I laid the dresser on it’s back. I would also highly recommend trying the stamp before inking it…. just to make sure you will be able to press it firmly and nothing impedes it.

A huge thanks to IOD Iron Orchid Designs for providing the supplies for this project. Even though the stamps were given, all opinions are very much my own.
